Gucci Mane is set to plead not guilty to the new battery allegations.
His attorney, Ashutosh Joshi, has announced that his client intends to plead not guilty to all of the charges. He states, "We obviously believe the charges are false. We don't agree with them and we look forward to having the opportunity to fight the charges in court."
The rapper hit the headlines yet again two weeks ago, when he was arrested on Friday, April 8, for allegedly pushing a woman out of his moving vehicle. Shortly after, on Monday, April 11, the
Brick Squad honcho was taken into custody.
Gucci picked up the woman from a local mall and invited her to join him for breakfast. When the woman accepted the offer, she claimed she soon realized that the southern rapper was not taking her to eat. When she confronted him, he informed her that he had $150 dollars and would be taking her to a motel. It was when the woman refused his proposal and demanded that he return her to the mall, that Gucci pushed her out of his Hummer whilst still in transit.
The victim checked into hospital with mild pains.
Gucci Mane has been charged with violation of his probation, reckless conduct and misdemeanour battery. The Brick Squad front man remains behind bars.
