Well, that was short and sweet. Christina Milian and The-Dream have called it quits on their marriage. The pair married in September of last year in a low-key ceremony and welcomed baby girl Violet in February. Apparently though, according to a statement released by The-Dream, the couple had broken up before the baby’s birth.
The statement reads “Terius ‘The Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter, Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.” We like the wording “the marriage was unsuccessful”, it’s like an attempt at surgery or a fallen soufflé. As if to say, this one didn’t work, but better luck next time!
The-Dream (whose hyphenated name is about as annoying as Ke$ha’s dollar sign) was spotted recently getting cozy on a beach with his personal assistant, Melissa Santiago just days before he released the statement.
