Justin Timberlake To Save Jamie Foxx’s Album
The suits at J Records/ RCA are apparently not too happy with Jamie Foxx’s upcoming album, so they’ve called in music super hero Justin Timberlake for help. The Oscar-winning actor/singer’s latest musical venture has been delayed until July because the label wasn’t down with the early material and invited Timberlake on board to work his magic.
Page Six reports, “There were some issues with Jamie’s album. Bosses at the label were not happy with the initial tracks, so Justin was asked to help co-write and perform on more songs. They added, “Timberlake has collaborated on at least three tracks — including the first release, titled ‘Winner,’ which is now getting a good reaction on radio play.”
Of Timberlake’s S.W.A.T move, they said, “There was some worry that upping Justin’s input would upset Jamie’s famous ego, but so far it has gone well. But he was a little upset the label chiefs were insisting on changing his material to ensure there were more hits.” ”
A rep for J Records said, “Jamie started working on this album last November, and Justin was involved from the start. Jamie and Justin have completed three tracks. The album has been delayed to July 20, but everyone is happy with the material.”
Timberlake’s peeps confirmed the collaboration: “Justin’s production company, The Y’s, is working on tracks for Jamie’s upcoming album, and Justin is also featured on the current single.”

Usher Disses Idol: “Television Is A Lie”
Usher looked like he was enjoying himself on American Idol last month, but judging from an interview given right before his appearance, he’s not much of a fan. “The true art form of music is being lost, because it seems so easy that everyone can do it, and that it can happen overnight,” he told The Guardian. “Television is a lie. It can’t happen overnight. The artist who thinks that it can just comes and goes. The reason why great singers cannot exist in this time is maybe because they’re not properly managed, and maybe they don’t understand the full gamut of what being an entertainer is…the record companies [are] mass-producing these versions of these people; versions of this broken art. While it works, because it sells records, it damages the business.”
While he didn’t actually say “talent shows are killing music,” as some misleading headlines suggest, it’s still a little ironic for him to bitch about a system that cripples “great singers” (like himself, presumably) before running off to grin at Tim Urban and fistbump Ryan Seacrest. And should anyone performing an empty-headed autotune jam like “OMG”—as he did on Idol—be throwing stones about mass-producing versions of a “broken art”? “What’s Going On” it ain’t. Here’s hoping this leads to a feud as fun as the one Simon Cowell had with Sting.

Our Money Is On Mayweather !!!!
FLOYD MAYWEATHER reckons he is solely responsible for keeping boxing in the spotlight.
Many critics claim the sweet science is in decline with a lack of big bouts and the rapid rise of mixed martial arts turning fans away.
But Money, who faces Shane Mosley in Las Vegas on Saturday night, believes the fact he is still around proves the sport is alive and kicking.
Mayweather said: "People fail to realise that Floyd Mayweather's keeping the sport going. I'm the face of boxing.
"You put in the hard work, dedicate yourself and put together the best team, so you're going to get the biggest and best payday.

"Of course you have to have great results once you get inside the ring. I've always had great results.
"The ultimate goal in boxing right now is to find a fighter that can beat Floyd Mayweather — and it's not going to happen."
Mayweather has often been accused of dodging fighters that could threaten his unbeaten record.
Mosley, 38, is expected to provide him with a stiff test when they go toe-to-toe at the MGM Grand.
But that has not stopped the bookies picking Mayweather as the clear favourite.
And the 33-year-old insists he cannot be blamed for the fact so many people are backing him to win the 41st fight of his career.
Mayweather said: "I can't help that it's so one-sided they say the fight is boring. That's not my fault.
"I'm just that good. Some fighters are God-gifted and I just happen to be one of those athletes that are exactly that."

Rumors We Love: Rihanna Has A Secret Girlfriend?
You’d think with the amount we write about Rihanna, we would have heard this one by now. According to sites like Necole Bitchie and AllieIsWired, RiRi has been secretly dating her friend/assistant Melissa Forde (allegedly, of course). Their proof: they’ve been spotted holding hands and getting their cuddle on and have matching tattoos (in different places).
Would we be psyched if Rihanna was pulling a Lohan behind our backs while pretending to date baseball star Matt Kemp (Rihanna’s rumored fiance)? Absolutely! But have these bloggers ever seen women interact with their friends? When we get together with our gal pals we spend most of our time spooning each other and 90 % of us have tramp stamps that resemble some member of the butterfly family. Chances are these BFFs are just extra close, with nothing too R-rated going on behind the scenes.
